Margie E. Smith, 78, Martinsville, IN, formerly of Indianapolis, IN passed away November 14, 2018 with family by her side. Born February 15, 1940 to Earl and Mary Forehand in Indianapolis, IN.
She is survived by her three sons, Robert Bray, Charles (Tony) Egner, Gary Egner; siblings, Bernice Niblack, Virginia Skeen; grandchildren, Briana Gilkerson (Bray), Brittney Bray, Blake Bray, Fred Egner; and two great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Mary Forehand; and siblings, Thelma Phelps, Juanita Forehand, Mary Hausafus, and Richard Forehand.
She loved the Lord with all her heart. She attended church her entire life and loved southern gospel music. She also loved to fish and then fry them for dinner, the Smokey Mountains, entertain on the holidays and play bingo on Christmas. In her younger days she was a big fan of Elvis. She was devoted to her family and loved spending time with everyone.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 19, 2018 at 4:30 p.m. with visitation from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at Life Tabernacle, 3540 Oliver Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46241.

Margie and I were sisters-in-law for several years when we were young and we spent many days together. She was a good woman with a giving, kind heart. I haven’t seen her since my mother got her wings in 2012 but I’ve never forgotten her. God rest her soul and bless her family
